US food processor acquires Snap Fresh Foods — Exporter Magazine
Golden State Foods (GSF), one of the largest diversified food processors and distributors in the US, has acquired ownership of Snap Fresh Foods, a New Zealand-based provider of premium salad greens, vegetable mixes, baby-peeled carrots, fresh sprouts, dressings and condiments. The acquisition of Snap Fresh Foods includes two facilities in New Zealand that service that region as well as export to China.

Snap Fresh Foods has cultivated leading retail brands including Krispkut™, Farmer Bill’s™, Dashboard Diner™, Salad Shakes™ and Sproutman™. Golden State Foods is acquiring the processing assets of Snap Fresh Foods’ brands, and the company’s farm suppliers will continue its existing operations and contract exclusively to Golden State Foods.

Its core businesses include processing of liquid products, meat, produce, dairy and other services as well as full-line distribution to the quick service restaurant industry.
