LG Electronics, the world’s second-largest maker of flat-screen television, is in advanced talks with Sharp over buying liquid crystal displays (LCDs) from its Japanese rival to use in its large-sized TVs, ccording to Te Korea Times citing industry sources. New Zealand beef is proving to be a breakout success in Korea where a star turn on the menu of the country’s largest food exhibition is helping to overturn the local perception that beef fed on grain is superior. The ships are in the Triple-E class based on “Economy” of scale, “Energy” efficiency and “Environmentally” improvement. Maersk Line CEO Eivind Kolding said the new ships would have all the latest environmental features. Korea aims to by 2015 sit among the world’s top four makers of eco-friendly cars, including hybrid, electric and other vehicles based on alternative drive technology, according to the Korea Times.
