Quick on the heels of Google’s launch of its latest social-networking venture, Facebook said today that its 750 million users will now be able to make video calls on the site, according to NZ Herald’s online report. China, the world’s largest Internet market by users, represents an attractive frontier for Facebook. Zuckerberg visited the country in December and met with the heads of several Chinese Internet companies, including Baidu Inc, Sina Corp and Alibaba Corp. Paul Borrud, Facebook’s regional vice-president of Australia and New Zealand, said the take-up of Facebook on mobile phones and devices was one reason for the growth, which he said was showing no sign of slowing.
