Zhu Min, an International Monetary Fund official, remains optimistic about China’s chances of avoiding economic troubles even as the latest data points to a further slump in the country’s property market, according to ChinaDaily.com. China’s economy expanded by 9.2 percent in 2011 from a year earlier and 8.9 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter, according to ChinaDaily.com. Forecasts are for a GDP growth around 8.5 per cent in 2012.
