Tasti Products was named as Woolworths Supplier of the Year, under $50m category, at Woolworths Australian Awards dinner held on 09 November in Sydney.

Woolworths stock over 20,000 grocery lines sourced from over 4,000 Australasian suppliers.

Tasti are believed to be the first New Zealand food company to ever reach the podium at these awards.

Tasti Products was also one of only four award winners nominated for the Woolworths Overall Supplier of the Year Award.

A privately owned New Zealand company, Tasti is currently celebrating its 80th birthday and has been supplying product across the Tasman from its West Auckland factory for the past 20 years.

Apart from their own Tasti brand they also produce selected Weight Watchers and Select Private Label products for Woolworths on both sides of the Tasman.

“We were absolutely thrilled to head home from the Australian awards with a trophy in our hand luggage,” says Adrian Cook, Marketing Director for Tasti Products. “This is a real affirmation of Tasti’s commitment to innovation and to forging long term partnerships with our key customers.

Tasti’s Executive Chairman Simon Hall adds “Tasti is a very growth focussed company and the potential across the Tasman is huge”.

Julian Hilliard, Category Manager-Breakfast Cereals and Nutritional Snacks, Woolworths Limited, says, “Tasti is a very worthy recipient of this award. They are such an accommodating vendor and an absolute pleasure to do business with.” 

And there were more positive comments from Katherine Rich, Chief Executive, New Zealand Food & Grocery Council: ”To win in their category and be singled out as a nominee for the Overall Supplier of the Year Award, amongst some huge international brands, is an incredible achievement. Tasti are a fantastic role model for not just other food manufacturers, but for all New Zealand businesses aiming to increase their sales in international markets.”
