2015 China Business Awards finalists announced — Exporter Magazine
The finalists in the HSBC NZCTA China Business Awards 2015 were announced recently at Villa Maria in Auckland.
China is already a hugely important market for the New Zealand economy, and is destined to become more important given the ambitious two-way trade growth targets agreed by the leaders of the two countries. The awards are intended to celebrate the success of the economic relationship between the two countries, and to recognise the organisations and individuals contributing to that success through trade and investment. They are role models for all aspiring businesses looking to do business between China and New Zealand.
A record number of entries were received for this year’s awards, from small to medium enterprises and large corporates. It was fantastic to see so many industries represented, from importing, food and beverage, and hi-tech manufacturing to education, tourism, online services, TV and film, which reflects the deepening economic relationship between the two countries.
This year’s entries were of such high calibre the judging panel of nine had difficulty selecting the finalists. The finalists represent a diverse cross-section of companies in New Zealand doing business with China and Hong Kong as well as Chinese owned companies operating in New Zealand.
